Picture of a water meter with an RF antennaThe Town of Fort Erie is currently mid-way through a program to replace water meters with radio frequency (RF) meters. Our annual program selects about 1,000 accounts in the geographic sweep of our municipality.

These new meters will provide accurate and consistent readings through a drive-by data collection technological enhancement. The meter also has the ability to identify leakages or backflow events - with a consumption history archive that can be downloaded for analysis and review.

In the event of damage to your meter, please contact a licensed plumbing contractor to assess the operational integrity of the meter and conduct any necessary repairs.
