Fort Erie Communities-in-Bloom

 

Communities-in-Bloom is a non-profit Canadian organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement and the challenge of a national program, with focus enhancing green space in communities.

 

The Council-appointed Fort Erie Communities-in-Bloom Committee acts on behalf of the Community, to coordinate participation in the National Communities-in-Bloom Program and conduct a local Communities-in-Bloom competition that recognizes the environmental, beautification and volunteer efforts of Fort Erie property owners and organizations.

2004 - 5 Blooms Provincial Competition, Landscape Award

2005 - 4 Blooms, National Competition, Dedicated Heritage Award

2006 - 5 Blooms, National Competition, Heritage Preservation   Award

2007-2008 - Friends Category

2009 - 5 Blooms in National Competition, Floral Displays Award

2010-2011 - Friends Category

2012 – Winner, National Competition

2013-2014 – Circle of Excellence

2015 - Honourable Mention, International Challenge, 5 Bloom Silver Status, Special Recognition of Volunteer Involvement and Recognition

2016-2018 - Friends Category

 

Our Fort Erie...

When Fort Erie competed in the International Communities-in-Bloom competition, the Committee prepared a ‘Profile Book’ that showcases how Fort Erie excels in the categories of Tidiness, Environmental Awareness, Heritage Conservation, Landscape Areas and Floral Displays.
