BASEBALL DIAMONDS

The Town of Fort Erie maintains 2 main baseball complexes appropriate for league play, and a variety of grassed fields appropriate for practices or informal play space.

Oakes Park if the primary baseball complex in Fort Erie. It is the home of the Greater Fort Erie Minor Ball Association and the Fort Erie Cannons. Oakes Park offers 5 clay skinned infield baseball diamonds, that range in size suitable for T-Ball, Softball, Pee-Wee and Senior Division Baseball.

United Empire Loyalist Park in Stevensville offers two softball diamonds, which are utilized four nights a week for Ladies Slo-Pitch and Mixed Slo-Pitch.

Baseball backstops with grassed play areas can also be found in neighbourhood parks throughout Fort Erie. These informal areas are not lined or fitted with bases, but provide ideal opportunities for casual play of varied ages and abilities, batting practice or local pick-up games. Locations include A.C. Douglas Park, Bill Connolly Field, Douglas Park, Energy Field, Ridgeway Lions Park, Albert Street Park and Bowen Road Park.

SOCCER FIELDS

The Town of Fort Erie maintains 2 main soccer complexes appropriate for league play, and a variety of unlined fields appropriate for practices or informal play.

Ferndale (Bertie Centennial) Park is home to the Greater Fort Erie Youth Soccer Club and is one of the Town’s main soccer complexes. Ferndale Park offers 2 senior, 1 intermediate and 1 junior sized soccer pitches.

Optimist Youth Park is the second main soccer complex and is home to the Opti-Mrs/Optimist Club of Fort Erie. Optimist Youth Park offers 2 lit senior and 2 junior sized soccer pitches.

Unlined fields are located throughout the community in A.C. Douglas Park, Bill Connelly Field, Douglas Park, Ridgeway Lions Park, and United Empire Loyalist Park.

Crystal Ridge Park is currently under construction. The football field in this park will not available until 2020. Alternate fields are available. Please contact the Town of Fort Erie Parks and Facilities Management for more information at (905) 871-1600 Ext. 2431
