Parking/Shuttle

Shuttles may stop running earlier than 9:15pm if capacity has been reached at the venue. For the safety of everyone involved, the Town reserves the right to limit the number of patrons on the site.

 

Event Parking & Shuttle Details:

Shuttle Service will begin at The Fort Erie Race Track and Fort Erie Leisureplex at 2:00 pm with the first shuttle leaving at 2:15 pm. 

Shuttles will stop bringing patrons to the venue at 9:15pm.

Services for leaving the site will resume at 9:45pm to bring guests back to their vehicles. 

There will be no available parking at Old Fort Erie for the 13 For 13 Cultural Event. The Old Fort Erie parking lot will be restricted to allow shuttles and other important event vehicle access. We encourage guests to use the 13 For 13 Cultural Event shuttle system to attend the event. Due to the limited amount of parking in and around Old Fort Erie, we are offering a free-of-charge shuttle system that will help guests avoid traffic. We will have two shuttle launch stations, one at the Fort Erie Racetrack and another at the Fort Erie Leisureplex. Shuttles will be going to and from the 13 For 13 Cultural Event.

A number of road closures will be in place (see below). Niagara Regional Police and Niagara Parks Police will be on-site to restrict vehicular access and maintain a safe and enjoyable event for all attendees. For those who do not live in the area and cannot access Old Fort Erie by foot, the most efficient way will be using the provided shuttle services.

Accessible Shuttle Details:

Limited (6) Accessible parking spots will be available at Old Fort Erie on a first-come, first, serve basis, however, gaining access to the site will be very difficult based on road closures and the complexity of the event. We strongly recommend all guests utilize the shuttle service provided. The shuttle services are fully accessible, with room to comfortably transport wheelchairs and other important equipment. Our shuttles will be running to and from the event allowing guests to board when needed and will be available at the Fort Erie Leisureplex location only.

 

Shuttle Routes:

The shuttle service will pick up and drop off attendees to and from Old Fort Erie (350 Lakeshore Road) at the following locations:

Fort Erie Leisureplex - 3 Municipal Drive, Fort Erie, L2A 2S6

At the end of the event, patrons will be asked to meet the shuttles at the traffic circle located near the Old Fort Erie Welcome Centre, event volunteers will usher them toward that area. 

The shuttle parking lots will not be monitored by Town staff. The Town is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen goods.

 

Road Closures: 

Full Road Closures will begin at 6:00 pm, and stay in place until approx. 11:00 pm or at a time that it is safe to remove them.

Full Road Closure barriers will be in place in the following areas: 

• Central Ave at Lakeshore Rd

• Lakeshore Rd & Dominion Rd (new traffic circle)

• Dominion Rd at Albert St (Albert St will be open for resident access)

• Adelaide St at Dominion Rd

• Lakeshore Rd at Albert St (Albert St will be open for resident access)

• Edward Ave at Dominion Rd

• George Rd at Dominion Rd

• Joseph St at Dominion Rd

• Ferguson Ave at Dominion Rd

• Malkin Ave at Dominion Rd

• Radford Ave at Dominion Rd

• Drummond Cres at Dominion Rd

• Beatrice St Dominion Rd
