Children at Play: Drive Slowly - Think of Us Program
The Town of Fort Erie has completed a full review of "Children at Play" signs that have been posted throughout our community in the past. The sign most residents identify with is that which is only to be used in and around playgrounds posted at 40 km/hr.
These signs are not appropriate for residential areas or arterial streets where caregivers may have concerns about traffic or speeding.
Instead, an advisory sign program was developed and new signs designed to meet this need by residents. The "Drive Slowly - Think of Us" sign is available for purchase at an installed and maintained cost to a resident or community group of $100.00 per sign. Applications for installation can be obtained by clicking here or visiting the Engineering Division at Townhall.
