FORT ERIE (February 9, 2024): Fort Erie Town Council approved the 2024 Budget in principle, with a 5.5 percent increase for the Town’s portion of the residential property tax. This increase translates to an additional $13.94 per month for the median household.
When the Niagara Region and the Boards of Education levies are included, the combined increase for residential taxpayers in Fort Erie is 5.16 percent.

The Town of Fort Erie Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) continues to work on ways to make our community more accessible.
In partnership with the StopGap Foundation, funding for a pilot project was made available to provide a temporary ramp into stores that have one step between 2” and 9”.

FORT ERIE (September 22, 2023) – On September 18, 2023, Town of Fort Erie Council approved By-law No. 136-2023, which adopted the 2023-2026 Corporate Strategic Plan (CSP) that identifies priorities that will lead the municipality over the next four years.
