FORT ERIE (August 22, 2025) — Mayor Wayne Redekop and Councillor Tom Lewis attended the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference in Ottawa from August 17 to August 20, 2025. The annual conference provided a valuable opportunity to meet directly with Provincial Ministers and their staff about important issues in the community.
During the conference, Fort Erie officials engaged in productive discussions with:

The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) is a non-profit organization representing almost all of Ontario’s 444 municipalities. Through advocacy, policy development, and education, AMO supports strong and effective municipal governments across the province.
The annual AMO Conference is the largest gathering of municipal officials in Ontario, bringing together mayors, councillors, senior municipal staff, and provincial leaders. It provides a forum for municipalities to meet directly with Provincial Ministers, discuss local priorities, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration between municipalities and the Province.
