Public Fire Education

The Fort Erie Fire Department is committed to educating residents of Fort Erie about fire prevention and safety. The S.A.F.E program was created to assist residents, who have limitations, to properly install and check their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

Staff will come to your house and conduct a home assessment to ensure that you have the correct number of alarms and in the correct locations and that all alarms are working and within expiry. There will be no fines or penalties issued for lack of compliance.

To book a free in-home visit from Fort Erie Fire Services Public Educators, call 289-321-1503 or email tfitzsimons@forterie.ca.
