Economic Development & Tourism Services Department

The Economic Development and Tourism Services (EDTS) department is responsible for promoting and facilitating community-based economic development within the Town. The department works towards attracting new businesses and investment, retaining and expanding existing businesses, and creating employment opportunities for the community. Additionally, the department is responsible for business licensing, short-term rental licencing, and the review and approval of community events.

EDTS also supports the growth of tourism in the area by promoting local attractions, events and destinations. Through its various programs and initiatives, the department seeks to enhance the overall economic well-being of Fort Erie by fostering a vibrant and sustainable local economy.
