Business Spotlight: The Manic Maker
The Manic Maker first opened its doors on March 17, 2022, as a unique freeze-dried candy shop in Bridgeburg. Just a few months later, growing demand inspired a move into their larger, current location at 26 Jarvis Street.
What started as a candy shop quickly blossomed into something more. With the encouragement of the community, The Manic Maker expanded its offerings to include coffee and donuts, officially launching as Bridgeburg’s cozy corner café on December 1, 2022. Since then, the café has grown into a vibrant hub, serving up breakfast, lunch, sweet treats, freeze-dried candy, and even locally handmade gifts. Their community bulletin board has become a go-to space for local events and connections, making The Manic Maker more than just a café, it’s a gathering place.
As they approach their two-year anniversary at their Jarvis Street location, The Manic Maker continues to see exciting growth. With all of their freeze-dried candy produced and packaged in a licensed commercial kitchen and registered through provincial programs, this thriving small business is not only serving delicious creations but also proudly contributing to Fort Erie’s local economy and community spirit.
A true success story, The Manic Maker is proof of how passion, creativity, and community support can turn a sweet idea into a beloved local destination.
