Crystal Ridge Park Improvements

Crystal Ridge Park is located in Crystal Beach and is classified as one of four Community Parks within Fort Erie. It serves the neighbourhoods of Crystal Beach, Ridgeway, and Thunder Bay. The park is approximately 9.6 hectares in size and contains the following:

• Fort Erie's only municipal football field
• an informal baseball diamond
• a pavilion
• a playground
• a splash pad
• over 3 hectares of the wooded area, complete with recreation trails.

With several outdated park amenities, this Park is need of renovation to ensure it meets the community's current needs. In 2016, the Town commissioned the preparation of a Park Master Plan, which Dillon Consulting prepared. Through an extensive public consultation process, the Crystal Ridge Park Master Plan was developed and approved by Council in 2017.

Phase 1 and 2 improvements are complete and open to the public.

Phase 1 improvements are complete and include:

• a pavilion
• multi-use courts
• senior and junior playgrounds.

Phase 2 improvements are complete and include:

• a 4-court pickleball facility
• a 'large dog' park
• a 'small dog' park and parking lot improvements.

Phase 3 improvements are scheduled to be complete by year-end 2027 and will include the following:

• a nature play and storytelling area
• nature trail improvements.
