Canada Post Service Disruption

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has launched a national strike following today’s government announcement on Canada Post’s transformation.
Please continue to enjoy the convenience and speed of the Town's digital services by registering for your myFE eBilling account, joining our email list and following our social media channels for important ongoing updates.
The Town of Fort Erie recommends preparing during these disruptions. Residents are encouraged to make themselves aware of alternative options for interacting with the Town.

Go paperless with myFE eBilling
The nationwide service disruption at Canada Post may delay your bill. It’s important to stay on top of bill payments, ensuring your bills are paid by the due date. Property owners are still responsible for payment of amounts owing. While the strike is in progress, please do not attempt to mail your payment.

Register for your myFE eBilling account
We encourage all residents to access our convenient, easy-to-use, access-anytime-anywhere online portal myFE (my.forterie.ca).
The myFE portal allows you to:
- View your tax and water bills conveniently online,
- Download your bills as PDFs,
- Reduce your environmental footprint,
- Securely access your information that is stored safely behind encrypted password-protection,
- Receive email notifications when your bills are ready to view.
To register for myFE, you need the account number and access code from your most recent bill. Full step-by step instructions are available to assist during the registration process.

Procurement
The Town’s procurement processes will continue throughout a potential Canada Post labour disruption. Procurement closing times/dates will not be extended. It is the responsibility of the respondent to ensure submissions are received prior to deadlines. Please visit the Bidding Opportunities page on our website for more information.
Accounts Payables
Accounts payable invoices can be dropped off at Town Hall or emailed to payables@forterie.ca. Vendors who are concerned about possible delays in the receipt of their payment can contact 905-871-1600 to make arrangements.
Planning, Building & By-law Services
- Planning notices will continue to be posted online, and a physical sign will still be posted on the property.
- Building applications will continue to be accepted online or accepted at the Town Hall in person.
- Fines incurred under the Provincial Offences Act (POA) can be paid in person at the Town Hall or online at www.forterie.ca.
