Parks, Trails and Sports Fields

Fort Erie’s parks, trails, and recreation spaces provide residents and visitors with opportunities to stay active, connect with the community, and enjoy the Town’s natural and waterfront settings. The Town is committed to creating welcoming, accessible, and inclusive outdoor spaces that support recreation for all ages and abilities. Accessibility remains a priority, with new and replacement facilities designed in consultation with the Fort Erie Accessibility Committee.

Many of Fort Erie’s playgrounds have been made possible through partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups, including: 

  • Bay Beach Playground – Ridgeway Lions Club 
  • Corporal Albert Storm Playground (Crystal Beach Waterfront Park) – Crystal Beach Firefighters Association 
  • Saturn Playground (Ridgeway Lions Park) – Saturn of St. Catharines 
  • Stevensville Mini Park Playground – Stevensville Kinsmen and Kinettes 
  • Goderich Street Park Playground – Buffalo Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority

These contributions help enhance recreational opportunities throughout the municipality and reflect the strong community partnerships that continue to shape Fort Erie’s parks system.

Fort Erie offers opportunities for residents to enjoy the outdoors with their pets through designated dog-friendly spaces and on-leash park areas. These locations provide safe and enjoyable environments for exercise, socialization, and outdoor recreation while encouraging responsible pet ownership and respect for other park users.

Fort Erie’s playgrounds and splash pads provide fun, active, and inclusive recreation opportunities for families across the community. The Town features eighteen uniquely themed playgrounds, splash pads, and seasonal water features that encourage outdoor play and community connection throughout the summer months.

The Fort Erie Skatepark provides a dedicated space for skateboarders, scooter riders, and BMX enthusiasts to develop skills, stay active, and enjoy a safe outdoor recreation experience.
