Fort Erie Tennis Courts

Game, set, match—get ready to hit the courts!

The Town of Fort Erie Tennis Courts will be open and ready for play for the 2026 season, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels to get active and enjoy the game. 

2026 Construction Update

Due to recent wet and rainy weather, construction at the Fort Erie Tennis Courts has experienced some delays. The Har-Tru courts are scheduled to open on May 14, 2026. The remaining courts will be made accessible to the public once construction is complete and are expected to open in June.
Access to the Har-Tru courts is available from Oakes Park. Please note that the grass leading to the main gate may be wet, and visitors are advised to proceed with caution.

Tennis Membership Application Form

The Town of Fort Erie will be offering memberships for both adults and youth who wish to access the courts during peak operating hours. Members will receive a key fob, allowing convenient entry to the courts during designated membership times. A $50.00 deposit is required for the fob, which must be returned to the Town at the end of the season.

How to Purchase a Tennis Membership

  1. Complete the Membership Application Form
    Download and fill out the Tennis Membership Application Form.

  2. Submit Your Application
    Email your completed form to tennis@forterie.ca.

  3. Application Review
    Town staff will review and process your application. You will receive a confirmation once it has been completed.

  4. Receive Your Membership
    After approval, you will be issued a temporary membership pass.

Adult Membership Fee: $100.00 (plus tax)

Junior Membership Fee: $50.00 (plus tax)

Tennis instructors interested in offering lessons to the community may also book courts to provide private instruction and programming.

Instructor Court Rental Fee: $20.00

In addition to memberships, the courts will be available for rental bookings, providing the general public with the opportunity to reserve a court for exclusive use. 

For residents look to use the courts, the following guidelines and code of conduct must be followed:

General Court Guidelines

  • Open access is walk in play only and not for any leagues or clubs to play
  • Instructors who are looking to host lessons are required to pay an instructor rate to rent the courts
  • Those who have a permit are permitted to play and those who do not are required to move to another court if required

Open Access Rotation

When there are more players than courts available:

  • Play one game and rotate off
  • Wait until all other players have rotated in before taking your next turn

Code of Conduct

  • Be respectful to all users, visitors, and staff
  • No use of alcohol or drugs
  • No inappropriate language
  • No forms of violence
  • No damage of the equipment or the facility
  • Adult supervision required for anyone under the age of 14
  • Proper tennis equipment is required including shoes, balls and racquet
  • Courts are fist come first serve unless there is a private booking

The Town will be offering tennis programs for adults, youth, and seniors this summer. Programming may look a little different from previous seasons, so be sure to stay tuned as full details will be announced soon!
