Message from Mayor Redekop and the Town of Fort Erie regarding the passing of Dr. David Henry

FORT ERIE (October 30, 2025) - It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Dr. David Henry. David was unique in so many ways, most importantly for his love of Fort Erie and the many patients that he cared for with compassion over the decades. Who can forget his passionate defence of maintaining services at Douglas Memorial when Niagara Health was intent on closing our hospital? He was a champion for health care in our community and a shining example of how one can serve a community while living life to its fullest.  We extend deepest sympathies to his equally beloved wife, Dr. Patricia Teal, and his entire family. He leaves a strong and lasting legacy for which we are all thankful.
