Water Meter Tampering Investigation Leads to Charges in Fort ErieFORT ERIE (October 17, 2025) - Following an investigation by the Town of Fort Erie’s By-law Enforcement and Water/Wastewater teams, sixteen (16) Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) charges have been laid against two Fort Erie residents for tampering with their residential water meter.

Fort Erie Resident Convicted for Failing to Comply with Dangerous Dog Order
FORT ERIE (October 10, 2025) — On September 25th at the Welland Provincial Offences Courthouse, A Fort Erie resident was convicted under the Town’s Animal Welfare By-law No.73-2021 for failing to comply with a Dangerous Dog Order, originally issued in 2021. The conviction resulted in more than $3,000 in fines imposed by the court.

March 11, 2025FORT ERIE, ON – The Town has contracted Hetek Solutions to conduct Acoustic Watermain Testing services to assess the Town’s water distribution system for suspected leaks.
