Noxious Weeds
Notice is hereby given to all persons in possession of land, under the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. W.5, Amended by: 2006, c. 32, Sched. C, Section 70, that unless noxious weeds growing on their lands within the Municipality of the Town of Fort Erie are destroyed by June 1, 2015 and throughout the season, as often as necessary, the Municipality may enter upon the said lands and have the weeds destroyed, charging the costs against the land, as set out in the Act.
Please note that:
- Purple Loosestrife;
- Dandelions;
- Burdock;
- Goldenrod;
are not considered noxious weeds within the Municipality of the Town of Fort Erie under the Weed Control Act. Therefore, complaints about these weeds cannot be accepted.
