Dog Park and On-Leash Areas

Dogs are allowed off-leash in the designated “off-leash area” of the Lions Sugarbowl Park. In addition, dogs on a leash (maximum 6' length) are permitted in parking lots, designated pathways or hiking trails located within park including the Friendship Trail and within passive areas of parks. Dogs are not permitted in cemeteries or public beaches.

Off-leash Areas:

The Off-leash Dog Park is in the Lions Sugarbowl Park at the corner of Gilmore Road and Central Avenue. Parking is available beside the Central Fire Station.

  • Please remember to pick up your dog's waste.
  • All dogs must display their current dog license and vaccination tags.
  • Please remain in sight and voice control of your dog at all times within the Off-Leash Dog Area.

Dog License:

Don't forget to renew your dog license. The Annual License fee is $40.00 for a dog not altered and $30.00 if it is spayed or neutered. Every license is valid 365 days and automatically expire thereafter.
