Water Meters

The Town of Fort Erie is implementing a program to replace water meters with updated technology that enhances reading accuracy and reliability. The new meters use cellular endpoints to support more efficient and consistent readings. The meter also can identify leakages or backflow events. It can also download a consumption history archive used for analysis and review. This is a mandatory program in accordance with By-Law No. 66-2016
Each year, approximately 2,000 accounts are selected as part of a structured replacement program across the municipality.

This initiative ensures accurate water measurement, reliable billing, and improved service for residents and businesses.
